The ‘Care For’ range

Specially developed by Shirley Price, the products are available in 10ml bottles of true essential oil blends, most also being available in a carrier oil and/or lotion for easy application. They are perfect for home care use, and all instructions for use are on the labels. The Care For range can be used on Module 1 and for the case studies that follow to enable trainee therapists to acquaint themselves with the blends.

After Flight: An invigorating, energising blend of uplifting oils designed to alleviate the effects of long and short haul flights. It is especially effective when inhaled in flight. Contains Juniperus communis, Eucalyptus globulus, Cymbopogon citratus and Rosmarinus officinalis.

Cellulite: A blend of oils specially selected for their diuretic, cleansing properties. Used regularly, this blend will reduce the unsightly dimples associated with cellulite. Blended with the essential oils of Foeniculum vulgare, Juniperus communis, Pogostemon cablin, Rosmarinus officinalis and Salvia officinalis.

Circulation: For a sluggish circulation and lymphatic system. Helps to invigorate and cleanse the body. Especially useful in the bath. Contains Styrax benzoin, Piper nigrum, Juniperus communis and Rosmarinus officinalis.

Fatigue: An aromatic blend especially formulated to revive, stimulate and invigorate. Beneficial when used in the car to maintain alertness and combat weariness whilst driving. A blend of essential oils of Citrus bergamia, Piper nigrum, Eucalyptus globulus and Cymbopogon citratus.

Clear Head: A relaxing, clearing blend, used to balance head tension. Beneficial for migraine, headaches and hangovers. Contains essential oils of Eucalyptus globulus, Lavandula angustifolia, Mentha x piperita and Origanum majorana.

Joints: To preserve healthy joints, use this soothing and warming combination of essential oils. Beneficial for arthritis, rheumatism and general joint pain. Made with Eucalyptus globulus, Juniperus communis, Rosmarinus officinalis and Origanum majorana.

Respiratory System: A tranquil, soothing blend. Inhale to help maintain healthy lungs; this blend is used for asthma, hayfever, bronchitis and other conditions that cause breathing difficulties. Blended with Ocimum basilicum, Eucalyptus globulus, Hyssopus officinalis and Lavandula angustifolia.

Muscles: Maintain supple muscles and muscle tone before or after exercise by adding this soothing blend to the bath, or using it in a rub. Wonderful for the treatment of aches and pains, cramp, spasm and rheumatism. Mixed with Eucalyptus globulus Juniperus communis, Citrus limon, Rosmarinus officinalis and Origanum majorana.

Easy Breathe: Inhale and/or gargle this true essential oils mixture, especially through the winter months, to soothe and care for the nose and throat. Beneficial for coughs, colds and throat infections. Contains Eucalyptus globulus, Hyssopus officinalis, Mentha x piperita, Pinus sylvestris and Thymus vulgaris.

Problem Skin: A ready mixed lotion for application to skin problems such as acne, eczema, psoriasis and allergy prone skin. White lotion blended with essential oils of Citrus bergamia, Pelargonium graveolens, Juniperus communis, Lavandula angustifolia and Santalum album.

Airways: Inhale this cleansing blend of oils or add a few drops to your bath daily. Use in the carrier lotion on the face, particularly on the nose and cheekbones for continuous relief of sinus congestion and pain. Mixed from essential oils of Ocimum basilicum, Eucalyptus globulus, Lavandula angustifolia and Mentha x piperita.

Rest: Using this deeply relaxing blend before resting is peaceful for both body and mind, helping to unwind before going to bed. Especially beneficial in the bath before bedtime, or in a massage oil applied after a strenuous day. Blended with essential oils of Ocimum basilicum, Juniperus communis, Lavandula angustifolia and Origanum majorana.

Stresses and Strains: This popular blend is an invaluable aid to relaxation after a busy or stressful day. It eases feelings of tiredness, leaving you happier and more relaxed. Inhalation of this blend is recommended during panic attacks and massaging with the ready mixed blend in carrier oil around the neck and shoulders can bring instant relief to tension. Mixed with Ocimum basilicum, Juniperus communis, Lavandula angustifolia and Santalum album.

Stretch Marks: A blend of oils that is safe for pregnant women, and if applied regularly throughout pregnancy can reduce the risk of stretch marks. The blend is also beneficial for old stretch marks and, if used over a period of time, will noticeably improve the appearance of the skin. Contains Boswellia carteri, Lavandula angustifolia, Cymbopogon citratus and Citrus aurantium var sinensis.

Visible Veins: A special recipe of essential oils/carrier oils to help improve the appearance of thread veins and varicose veins. Used regularly the oils will help with restless leg syndrome and the discomfort of varicose veins and haemorrhoids. Blended using essential oils of Chamaemelum nobile, Cupressus sempervirens, Lavandula angustifolia, Citrus limon and Mentha x piperita.

Women: This special blend is formulated with oils noted for their balancing and normalising effects. The combination covers a range of conditions from absence of menstruation (amenorrhoea) and heavy, painful periods (dysmenorrhoea) to PMS and menopausal symptoms, while helping to balance the hormonal system. This balancing blend contains essential oils of Chamaemelum nobile, Salvia sclarea, Lavandula angustifolia, Salvia officinalis and Melissa officinalis.
