Basil essential oil is steam distilled for the flowering tops and leaves.  It has a sweet herbaceous aroma and may be used in inhalation, baths and massage to help general depression, nervous insomnia and mental strain.  In baths and massage its thought to help relieve muscular cramps, digestive disorders and period pains

Directions: Add 5-6 drops to a bath or vaporiser, for massage dilute in 10-15ml of carrier oil or lotion.

Warning: Do not use on broken or irritated skin. A skin patch test is recommended for those with sensitive skin. If irritation occurs discontinue use.
